Grade for Other Regulations (for R2017)——–Points

S (O)————–10

A (A+)—————9

B (A)—————8

C (B+)—————7

D(B) —————6

E (C)—————5

U(RA) —————0( which means FAIL)

W ——————–Withdrawal from Course

I ———————-Inadequate Attendance

CGPA = Sum of [Credit X Grade Point] / Sum of credits of all papers in all semesters.

Credit value is varied based on the subject.

Example:
In Engineering Graphics your grade is S and credit point assigned to that subject is 3 (Check your syllabus for credit for any subject).

Thus, in Engineering Graphics your score is 30.

Here,

S=10(grade)

3=Credit point of Engineering graphics.

Multiplying grade score with credit point, your score in engineering graphics is 30.

In the same way, calculate for each subject

i) Sum up all the scores

ii) Sum up all the credit pointsConsider, if result of sum of all the scores is 260 and sum of credit points for all the subject is 30 then CGPA is,CGPA = Sum of [Credit X Grade Point] / Sum of credits of all papers

= 260 / 30

CGPA = 8.66
